Support Your Local Bike Race (SYLBR) is an initiative to help community organizers fund grassroots racing and events by selling t-shirts.
OneUp donates the shirts to the organizers free of charge, organizers sell the shirts and keep the funds generated to cover the cost of local riding events and races.
All riding associations looking for funding opportunities for local events are encouraged to apply. While the initiative uses the word “race”, all types and disciplines of community cycling events are eligible.
All riding associations that organize local bike races and events are eligible to get t-shirts from SYLBR and it is easy to apply. From now until the end of the year, OneUp has 200 shirts to send out, and can be sold for around $40 each. For 2026, they hope to send out 500 shirts.
Step 1: Complete the SYLBR Application Form
Step 2: Successful applicants receive t-shirts free of charge
Step 3: Sell shirts and use money to fund events

The team at OneUp will be reviewing applications and sending out shirts once a month. So please be patient, as it may take up to 30 days to receive a confirmation if your application was successful. The high-quality heavyweight cotton shirts are printed locally in Vancouver.

OneUp created Support Your Local Bike Race to help community organizers get more riders together more often. Their local association, the Squamish Offroad Cycling Association, was the pilot organization for SYLBR and they’ve already raised hundreds of dollars selling shirts at $40 each.
“Hosting community bike races isn’t easy; it’s expensive and time-consuming! OneUp’s SYLBR T-shirt initiative gives our non-profit trail association a simple, impactful way to raise funds, helping us cover race costs and reinvest more money into the trails we all love” .— Ian Lowe, Executive Director of SORCA
